Software, not a service
Specola is a local client application. It runs entirely on your computer and does not come with network access, servers, or IP addresses.

Features
A native C++20 core on Asio coroutines handles listeners, routing and DNS. The Qt Quick UI talks to it over a local MessagePack RPC API, and the core also runs headless.
Proxies
Connect to the HTTP, SOCKS5, Shadowsocks and Trojan servers you already run or have access to, with TLS options.
Proxy groups
select, url-test, fallback and load-balance groups with health checks, so a dead upstream never blocks your build.
Rules
First-match rules on domain, IP-CIDR, GeoIP, port and process name — send git one way and your browser another.
Linux eBPF Enhanced Mode
cgroup v2 socket hooks route by process with no TUN device. Unmatched connections never leave the kernel; tools that ignore proxy variables are routed too.
DNS
Per-domain upstream policy, fallback, hosts and Fake-IP keep domain rules accurate under transparent capture, with every lookup in the logs.
How it works
Typical uses: sending package managers and CI tools through a company proxy while everything else stays direct, testing a service behind a specific gateway, or debugging which route a connection takes.

Install and start
Run Specola as a systemd service. It starts in Direct mode, so nothing changes until you add a server or rule.

Declare the proxy servers you are authorized to use in TOML, group them, then write rules for which traffic should use them.

Every connection shows its process, the rule it matched and where it went. Toggle routing from a Hyprland keybinding.

- How do I receive the software?
- After checkout, Paddle emails your receipt and we send your license key to the same address. Download the installer, open Specola and paste the key to activate.
- Which payment methods are accepted?
- Credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and local methods offered by Paddle in your country.
- Do prices include tax?
- The price shown is before tax. Paddle adds any applicable sales tax or VAT for your location and shows the final total before you pay.

FAQ
Is Specola a VPN?
No. Specola does not provide any network service, server or IP address. It is a local routing client: it only forwards traffic to servers that you configure yourself, such as your company's proxy or a server you run.
Does it work outside Omarchy?
Yes. Omarchy is our main target, but any Linux distribution with kernel 5.17+, cgroup v2 and BTF supports eBPF mode. macOS and Windows builds use TUN instead of eBPF. Check the manual for current requirements before buying — you can always request a refund within 14 days.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once and keep the license for the 1.x version series. There are no recurring charges.
Can I run it without the UI?
Yes. specola-core is a standalone process that reads the same TOML profile and can be controlled from the CLI or over its local RPC API — useful on servers and dev VMs.
What data does Specola collect?
Routing, DNS and connection data are processed locally on your device and are not sent to us. For license activation we handle only the information needed to issue and validate your license. See the Privacy Policy.
What am I allowed to use it for?
Any lawful use on networks and servers you are authorized to use. Using Specola for unauthorized access, unlawful interception or any other illegal activity is prohibited by our Terms and Conditions.
How do I move my license to a new computer?
Email support@jetpooh.com with your order number and we will reissue the license for your new device.
